Made my first ever purchase from the Amazon MP3 store (UK). I was just browsing a management website where they have songs by their bands playing on an unobtrusive menu that doesn't cut off when you click round the site. I heard a song I liked, and inspired by reading this book, googled Amazon MP3 store to pay for it.
It's a normal 320kbps MP3 with no DRM, and it cost me 69p to buy. Amazon tried to get me to install their downloader but you can skip it if you're just grabbing individual songs.
:o
Yeah, I know iTunes has been around for years, but most of their catalogue can only be played on Apple machinery (iTunes/iPod etc.). I was amazed how fast and easy my transaction was. I think we've finally reached the point where labels (big and small) are making digital purchase easy and hassle-free.

I'm not much of a diarist, this is mostly dipping a toe in the waters.
Friends-only, comment if you'd like an add though there's not likely to be much here. We shall see.
